About United Christian Parish (UCP):
UCP's outreach ministry TV show "Go Tell Everyone" is shown on
Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9:30 pm. The Rev. Dr. M. Bruce Irwin,
UCP's Pastor, conducts interviews with residents in Northern VA,
visiting authors, religious leaders and other inspiring individuals
in an effort to spread UCP's message of Christian unity and
cooperation in ministry .
Formed in 1973, the United Christian Parish of Reston, VA is an
ecumenical church uniting in ministry four denominations: the
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Presbyterian Church
(USA), the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church.
Grateful for God’s gift of Christian unity, the United Christian
Parish seeks to actively foster open dialogue and cooperation in
ministry in the Reston community and beyond.
In 2003, UCP was honored by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
for 30 years of community and global involvement. In 2005, UCP was
honored at Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration with the Global
Perspectives Award for its work in Rwanda, helping the country's
orphans get shelter and education, among other things.
