RCA Board meetings are normally held on the fourth Monday of the
month at 8pm
Founded in 1967 to protect and defend Reston's founding principles,
RCA is a nonstock, nonprofit civic association. It serves over
60,000 people living in Small Tax District #5, an area somewhat
larger (including, e.g. Deepwood, Stratton Woods, Reston Town
Center) than that covered by the Reston Deed. RCA has modest
financial resources, largely voluntary contributions and proceeds
from special events. It is run by volunteers, including its 13
member Board of Directors. In the absence of government (Reston is
not incorporated as a political entity), RCA seeks to protect and to
promote the social and political interests of Reston, serving as a
forum for all residents and a voice and advocate for the community
with County and State government.
